Second Starbucks Encounter
Sasuke was sitting at his desk, typing away, when a flash of pink hair appeared in his office. He didn’t tear his eyes from the screen. He needed to finish. He gave a slight nod to acknowledge Sakura’s presence, but that was it.
Sakura knew better than to disrupt Sasuke when he was busy with anything. She sat in front of his desk and waited for him to finish his train of thought. She had time. This time around she wasn’t in any hurry.
After a few minutes of silence between the two, Sasuke quickly saved his work and stretched. “Haruno,” he greeted.
“Inspired?”
“You could say that. You need so
Sasuke was looking this email as he waited in line for his order. He was a little annoyed with how many people were there this early in the morning. The worst part was that most of them were girls. He wasn’t sure why they were there.
As he was approaching the register, he started to hear an unfamiliar voice. Sasuke had frequented this particular Starbucks for a couple years now. He knew the baristas, the leads, managers, and even recognized some of the regulars like himself. This voice was full of energy and excitement, and it was male.
He wondered if it was hiring season again already. Sasuke knew male baristas didn’t last very
Velia couldn’t sleep. She’d been tossing and turning for the last hour or so, thinking. Just thinking. She knew Zelos was probably asleep, but she had to ask. He was a light sleeper anyway. “Have you ever thought about where we’ll end up?”
Zelos rolled over onto his back, yawning. He hadn’t realized that Velia was still awake. “What do you mean?”
In the darkness of the room, Velia turned her head to look at the side of his face. She couldn’t see it clearly, but she could still make out the profile of his lips and nose. “You know, whether we’ll stay together, change our minds
Naruto sat alone in his room, staring down at his phone. He couldn't believe that after eight months he was single again. It was weird to think that he'd be on his own again. This was the first night, in a long ass time, that he wasn't sitting on his bed, talking on the phone into the night. Part of him wanted to call her back, but the other part wanted to respect that fact that she no longer desired to be in a unit with him.
After chasing her for a year, Sakura had finally become his girlfriend. Naruto sighed, closing his eyes, imagining the pink hair flowing in the wind. Her gentle smile when he did something silly to amuse her. How she'd
Sasuke didn't say much to me the rest of the evening. He focused more on playing video games. He invited me to play with him, but I was already playing some games on my phone. Normally he'd aggravate me until I caved and played with him, but he didn't do that this time around. I wondered why. I wanted to ask why he wasn't pushing to have me play. I wanted to know what had happened between him and Sakura.
I tried not to think about it. The more I thought about it, the more it pissed me off. It just didn't make any sense to me. For years, Sasuke didn't care about Sakura, in any way shape or form. All of a sudden he was talking to her, greeting
After about an hour of having Sakura over, Itachi arrived home from work with groceries at hand. I got up to help him out, and we got started on dinner. Sakura followed us into the kitchen and offered to help out. Although Itachi had said she didn't have to, she still made herself useful by picking up messes, cleaning dishes and utensils as we used them, and stirring food when it needed to be stirred.
We were more than halfway done when I heard the front door open again.
"I'm home," Sasuke called out.
"We're in the kitchen," Itachi announced. "And we have company."
Sasuke peeked his head around the corner to investigate first. I couldn't
I rounded the corner as I was walking down the hallway only to find a group of people gathering. I was just trying to get to class, I but this was definitely going to delay me. I tried pushing past people to see who everyone was gathering around. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a flash of pink. My mind instantly went to Sakura, but I wasn't sure if the pink I saw was even hair.
As I moved closer and closer to the center of the crowd, I saw that Sakura and Ino were in the middle. They were getting in each other's faces, screaming. I had no idea what was going on.
"Sakura-chan?"
“How could it possibly be my fault? I didn’t tel
When the spring semester finally began it was weird not going to school with Sasuke. We'd walk to the same street, but then he'd turn the other way to head toward the train station to go to Otogakure. By the end of the school day, I'd wait for him on that same street so that we could walk home together. I didn't always wait because some days he'd go straight to Orochimaru's after school. Normally he'd text me to let me know whenever I had to go home by myself.
It sucked.
I wanted Sasuke to be happy, of course! That was very important! But it killed me a little inside that I didn't get to hang around Sasuke all day the way I used to.
I coul
Just like that the fall semester was gone. The holidays were also here and then. We spent the holidays together, as usual, with gift exchanges and dinners. For Christmas we also invited classmates over. That's when Sakura found out about Sasuke leaving. Ino overheard our conversation and proceeded to tell everyone else. Of course, the girls started crying and complaining. Sasuke could only glare at me for even mentioning anything to Sakura in the first place. He had warned me that I should wait to tell her until everyone else was gone, but in my eagerness to share the news with her I may have overdone it.
The New Year's was just as quick and
Over the next few weeks, Sasuke and I got back to normal. Sort of. While I had homework to complete from the book Jiraiya gave me, Sasuke still had to go back and forth to Orochimaru's place. Every now and then, he'd ditch Orochimaru and help me with my assignments from school or training. Itachi wasn't too happy about it when he found out Sasuke ditched Orochimaru from time to time, but at the same time he couldn't be too angry about it since Sasuke wasn't exactly skipping to do whatever he pleased or get himself into trouble.
"Ne, Sasuke, why have you been ditching so much?"
"Orochimaru is getting on my last nerve. So is Karin."

DeviantArt Protect, our new state-of-the-art image recognition software, was developed to help safeguard your art in ways that were not possible without recent advances in machine learning. As many artists are aware, copyright infringement is a serious problem. This technology is trained to identify new images that appear nearly visually identical to other images on DeviantArt and allows us to notify you when someone uploads potentially infringing art. The effort that goes into your piece of art is more than simply the time spent creating. The practice, gaining of knowledge, and skill are all evident in the finished product. When DeviantArt sought to utilize machine learning with added human oversight, the goal was to help protect more than just one’s finished work. It's about helping to provide protection around the totality of effort put forth. Helping Protect

A Truth, Crystallized pt. 5 (NaruSasu)
In the sultry spring air, Sasuke was a dream.
He arrived unannounced, and Naruto was caught by surprise when the man's presence slid up next to him, as if manifesting out of nowhere. Naruto jerked away reflexively, stumbling slightly, before he recognized the man at his side.
"Oh! It's you," he breathed.
When it came to Sasuke, Naruto had learned to expect a shadowy figure, body lost in a cloak of black, emerging casually from some patch of darkness in front of him. Today the man defied all those expectations. The sun beat down on Konoha without mercy, and he'd dressed accordingly, a loose white shirt and fawn-brown capris displaying the s

Slowly and with staggering movements, Sasuke helped Naruto lie down on the makeshift bed. Naruto, in a groggy state, groaned and called Sasuke's name.
"Quiet. You'll hide here until you're strong enough to move," Sasuke replied. He proceeded to uncork a sack of wine.
"Great. I could use a drink," Naruto mumbled.
Sasuke poured the wine over Naruto's open wound. Naruto groaned loudly from the pain. "Gah! That hurts, teme! Feels like a 1470 burgundy. Couldn't you have picked a better year?"
Sasuke pulled out a needle and thread. Naruto noticed the items with wide eyes and started to panic. "Uhh, Sasuke? What are you doing?"
"I need to sew y
Blue eyes stared back at him as he gazed into the mirror. He was, to say the least, in shock. Naruto couldn't believe what he had just discovered. He didn't even think it was remotely possible, not even with two confirmations, both of them having been from Sakura and Tsunade. Jingling keys at the front door startled him out of his thoughts. He turned around, slowly walking out to the kitchen.
"I'm home," Sasuke sighed as he took off his shoes at the entry and hung his coat in the closet. He looked up to find Naruto walking to the kitchen, white as a ghost.
Naruto gazed into Sasuke's black eyes, without really seeing him. "Welcome home," he
Sasuke woke up with a start, groaning as the sunlight hit his eyes. He sat up and looked over to his side. He couldn't believe how much weight Naruto had gained since the blonde first announced he was pregnant. At five months Naruto's belly had grown considerably and his face also displayed this roundness. Sasuke smiled, tenderly caressing his cheek with the back of his fingers. With or without the extra weight, Sasuke couldn't help but love Naruto.
Naruto pouted and groaned. "You're cold, Sasuke," the blonde complained, trying to bury his face into the pillow.
"Hn." Sasuke leaned down, kissing Naruto's bare shoulder and worked his way up t

I am slowly....very slowly, trying to get my groove back.
I haven't really sat down to write much in the last three years simply because life is a mess.
Priorities had to change.
Having to move, find new jobs, and so on.
I'm still wanting to re-work Found You, simply because I no longer like how it came out.
I had a shorter story in mind, and it's dragged on.
I might need to start from scratch, but we'll see.
Also, I'm trying to work on a couple of personal books.
I don't know where that'll end up either.
I'm trying to get back to being active on here and tumblr.
I make no promises on anything, though. I'm not sure what I can
For now I will be retiring my Found You project.
I want to reassess where I was going with it since it's been so damn long that I've even touched it.
It will still be available on my Tumblr, as I see no reason to pull it from there. I mean, it's a ...
Hey everyone!
So just a quick update, I know I've been VERY inconsistent with updates for Found You and I apologize.
I am currently working on the story yet again, but I'm only going to go til chapter 49.
Why?
I intend to try a different format after that.
I'm hoping to set the stage with these chapters and go from there.
After I reach chapter 49, I will submitting short stories, per se, of what I think are more significant moments for the story development.
They won't be out of order, but it's not going to be in a chapter format at that point.
I might look like it, but bear with me through the transition.
Thank you all for the contin
